INTRODUCTION

WCERPT was written to fill a gaping hole in the Wildcat 5.0 / PXW based
systems that connect to either Fidonet, or any other FTSC compatible
    echomail based network.

WCERPT is a Wildcat 5.0 conference traffic reporter, which can be used to
report the amount of echomail traffic passing through your Wildcat 5.0
message bases over a period of time.

    It generates the following information:

    - Plain Ascii text file detailing daily conference traffic report.
    - Optional plain Ascii text file detailing conferences with no mail for 7 days.
    - Optional System Bulletin detailing daily conference traffic report.
    - Optional System Bulletin detailing conferences with no mail for 7 days.
    - Optional Message detailing daily conference traffic report.
    - Optional Message detailing conferences with no mail for 7 days.

The Tag descriptions and conferences reported are fully configurable, as
are all of the colours in the system bulletins.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION

 1. Place the following files into either the main Wildcat 5/WINS directory
or into a directory called 'WCERPT' below the main Wildcat directory.

    WCERPT.WCX

 2. Assuming that you have Wildcat installed in the default C:\WC5 directory,
place the following files into the C:\WC5\WCERPT\ directory.

    WCERPT.CFG

If you have Wildcat installed in a different directory, or on a different
drive, replace C:\WC5 with the structure that points to your Wildcat home
    directory.

If this directory is network-sharable all nodes that will be used to
execute the program must have Read/Write/Create/Delete/Execute access
    to this directory.

 3. Edit the WCERPT.CFG file to reflect your own BBS configuration.
Each configuration item is preceeded by a keyword. Semicolon characters
    are comments. The keywords are:

	REGISTERED_TO : Your Name
REGISTRATION_KEY : Registration Key String issued to registered users
POST_CONF : Wildcat conference to write to.
POST_TO : Who to post the report(s) to.
OUTPUT_FILE : Name of text file to write to (Mandatory)
EMPTY_FILE : Name of optional empty report text file.
OUTPUT_BULLETIN : Name and path to Wildcat traffic output bulletin file.
EMPTY_BULLETIN : Name and path to zero traffic output bulletin.
GROUP : Name of message area group (ie FIDONET / BBSNET etc)
	CONF=n.t         : n = Conference Number, t = Echomail Tag
BORDER_COLOUR : Wildcat colour for bulletin boarders (Default=@07@)
TITLE_COLOUR : Wildcat colour for bulletin titles (Default=@07@)

OPERATION

Operation couldn't be simpler, since the program can be run via one
    of two methods.

Initially I'd recommend that it's run manually by creating a menu
option available only to the SysOp, which is used to run WCERPT.

    Key R
    Desc [R]...........WCERPT
    Type Run WcCode Program
Name E:\WC5\WCERPT\WCERPT.WCX <- Change this to point to your path.

The second option, once you are happy with it's operation is to run it
as a scheduled event, either within Wildcat, or from the front-end mailer.

If using the Front-End mailer option, setup a daily event which exits with
an errorlevel, then in the controlling batch file trap the errorlevel,
and execute the following command to run WCERPT.

    E:\WC5\WcRun -r E:\WC5\WCERPT\WCERPT

WCERPT will search for messages in all conferences listed by a CONF=n.d line
you have specified in the configuration file.
