Easy to install

Setup:
------
1. Unzip the program file into any folder on your computer.
2. Copy the SeekingU.wcx file into your Wildcat folder.
3. Modify your WcMenu menu option for your "Who is Online" to use SeekingU.
Please note no parameter is required.

Optional Setup:
---------------
The SeekingU.wcx can be renamed to any name you would prefer as long as you
keep the .wcx extension and make sure to point WcMenu to it, e.g., ISeeYou.wcx.

Four files are automatically generated and stored in the wc5\DATA folder. These files
can be modified to override certain defaults (please note, do NOT change the names or
locations of the files, only the contents):

1. The first is called WHO.sysop. This file as generated contains the single
word "Sysop". This file is used to designate what security levels have access to the
Sysop commands of this program (some people like to allow their Co-Sysops to have
access to these powerful and useful commands). You can manually add names or security
levels to this file with any text editor. It is NOT case sensitive, but make sure to
leave in the entry for SYSOP so that you still have access these features>

2.	The second file create is called Activity.Sub. This file is generated with the
following six entries:

Page Another User
User to User Contact
Who is online
Seeking Online Users
SeekingU
Seeking Online Users

These work in pairs where the first line is a standard activity on your system that you may
wish to have described in a unique or funny way. The second line is what replaces the first
line. This alternating pattern continues throughout the file and can allow up t0 500 entires.
An example when this feature might be helpful is with certain door games whose content may not
be appropriate for all ages, like BLWH or LoTN. So with this feature rather than the who portion
of the program showing the activity "Playing BLWH" you could make it display "Playing a
sophisticated game". Many other possibilities exist! Please note: The capitalization in the
first line is NOT important, the second line, is, as it will be displayed EXACTLY
as it is written in the file. Also note that the maximum characters allowed is 27.
This is due to screen size.

3. The third file, SeekingU.txt, contains the text that is displayed when a node is idle. By changing
this text you can have the program display such messages as "Awaiting surfers", "Waiting for the
phone to ring", or "Humming along"

4.	The last file is called SeekingU.nodes and by default puts the number 16 in it. The
program will NOT scroll down past this number, increase it to any number you want.
If a number greater than 256 is put in there, then it will be changed to a 256. If a number
less than 16 is entered, then it will be changed to 16. Even if you have a two node system it
displays 16 nodes due to the standard screen size used by the program. Please bear in mind that
if you have the ICP package (Internet nodes) that the system can actually display multiple nodes
for Navigator callers due to virtual node assignment within WINServer. Therefore, on an 8 node
system you very well could show users on 10, 12 and even 16 nodes!

One additional file can be created in the DATA folder to prevent certain users or security levels
from paging users, it is called the SeekingU.noPage file. If this file exists, the contents are
then checked to see if the users name or security level is in this file. If it is, they will
not be allowed to page. The user is notified upon a page attempt that the feature is disable.
This comes in handy with unverified security levels and/or problematic users who keep bugging your
regular users.

How to register and the benefits of registration:

Detailed Description of How the Program Works:
----------------------------------------------
The users will be displayed nodes 1 through 16 when first entering the program. The screen is
refreshed every 30 seconds. You can change the refresh rate with the + or - key. Which will
increment or decrement the time by 5 seconds at a time. 60 seconds is the maximum and 10 seconds is
the minimum.

Users can press C to enter live chat, Q to quit and return directly to the main program or can
P to page a user to join them into chat.

There is a "Just the Facts" option which allows them to see a shorter list of just who is on
what nodes, their activity, but without all the other utilization and special information
(plus they won't see all the empty lines which is especially helpful in VERY large systems).

Also on large systems they can use the L option to Locate a particular user.

Entering ? provides a detailed help screen.

Hit ENTER or ESC to exits program the main program.

Sysop Features:
---------------
These SYSOP features allow you to remotely access system information, the user data base, the file
data base, the node viewer and even allows you to disconnect a user right from the who screen. This
is great for Sysops who travel, who access their systems from work and those of use crazt enough to
take a laptop on vacations <G>. Please note that using the WHO.SYSOP file you can grant access to
these powerful features to various users and security levels. NOTE: These are very POWERFUL sysop
commands, be careful who you allow to have access to them!

Here are a list of the commands and a description of them. Some commands can be executed with
the cursor anywhere, while others require them to be on a node number.

A - Activity Log

This function displays the activity log for the node that the cursor is over. This will display
it with the typical BBS display Wildcat does. If the cursor is over a node with no activity log,
you will be told that and asked to press enter.

N - Node Management

This runs the internal program Node Management. This allows you to take a node up or down, etc.
This does not matter where the cursor is located. It will always display the node you are
connect on. You can switch from one node to the other quite easily.

S - SysOp User Editor

This command takes you directly to the WINServer default sysop user editor. If the cursor
is on a node that has a user online, then his/her account is be displayed. If no one is on the
node where the cursor is located, then the first record will be displayed.

T- Activity Translator

This will ask you for an activity function keyword phrase and then for the replacement keyword
phrase. This gets added to the Activity.SUB file. Press ENTER on the blank question to exit.
These are added to the ACTIVITY.SUB file and are used to display alternative information about
what activity the user is performing.

H - User Hang up

This powerful feature allows you to disconnect a user. This can be helpful in clearing a hung
user, or to get rid of a trouble maker. This will ask you for a hangup message, then hang the
user who the cursor is on up. They will get a message and then a dropped carrier. If you press
ENTER, they will not get any message, just a dropped carrier. Please NOTE: Depending on what
they are doing, they may or may not get the message, but they WILL get disconnected!

F - Sysop File Management

This is the sysop file manager program that allows you to change information in your file system.

I - System Information

This displays information about your hard drive, files, users, messages, and free space on your
drives using the WINServer default System Information command.
